From 16 to 21 June 2024, the GOLIAT project had an intense week on the island of Crete, where this year’s Bioem, the world’s largest and most significant international conference in the field of bioelectromagnetics, was held.
The conference was the setting for several presentations by GOLIAT researchers, who shared the progress of the project and some preliminary results.
Among the GOLIAT scientists participating were Adriana Veludo and Robin Wydaeghe, who shared the second prize for student oral presentations.

Project GOLIAT researchers Adriana Veludo and Robin Wydaeghe shared the second prize for student oral presentations at Bioem 2024.
Adriana Fernandes Veludo was awarded for her presentation “Exploring RF-EMF levels in Swiss microenvironments: An evaluation of environmental and self-induced downlink exposure in the era of 5G”.

Robin Wydaeghe won the 2nd Bioem 2024 Student Platform Award for his presentation on the OUTREACH initiative.
Robin Wydaeghe received the award for his presentation on the OUTREACH initiative, which proposes to “collaborate with industry and governments to access proprietary data in order to push the state of the art in realistic exposure assessment to new heights”.
In addition, GOLIAT board members participated in the 3rd annual meeting of the EMF and Health Cluster (CLUE-H), which also includes the ETAIN, SEAWave and NextGEM projects.
